A Board of Directors, consisting of elected officials representing each participating community, has oversight
for all global and local policies including operational, budgetary, and human resource issues

The Chief of Police serves as CEO. The UPD provides all financial
and HR management resources under the direction of the Board of Directors.

Precinct

Patrol, Traffic Enforcement, Community Oriented Policing, Property Crimes
Investigations, Street Level Narcotics, Directed Enforcement, School
Resource Officers, Victim Advocates and Crossing Guards

Each community or community cluster has its own precinct location and may independently appoint a commander.
Local services such as COP detectives, traffic officers and patrol are managed and run by each individual precinct.
